DAY 01 :Tirana

Arrival at the international airport "Mother Teresa”, meets and assisted by our representative. Transfer and accommodation at the 4 star hotel is Tirana.
Lunch is conditioned by the arrival time of the plane of Alitalia via Rome or Milan. If the schedule is favorable, lunch will take place at the hotel.

DAY 02 : Tirana – Kruja - Durres

The tour begins in the morning (time 8.30 / 45 AM ) with a visit to the Skanderbeg Square - named of the Albanian national hero of the 15th century - one of the most popular attractions of the city. Then we go to Et’hem Bey Mosque ( 18th century ) , place of pilgrimage and prayer for people from near and far ; the Clock Tower (next to the mosque ) ; the National History Museum ( north of Skanderbeg Square ), the Palace of Culture, are significant places that attract attention and worthy of visit.

Town of Kruja

Departure to the town of Kruja - one of the largest in the north of Albania and at the foot of the mountain - full of history, very famous place for being the hometown of national hero George Kastrioti - Skanderbeg . Lunch at the restaurant of the Hotel Panorama (Kruja). Visits to the castle, The Skanderbeg Museum and the Ethnographic Museum.

After the visits, travelers can take the time to explore the old bazaar of Kruja, genuine and full of antique shops. Skanderbeg Museum (Kruja) has duplicates of his helmet and the sword of Albanian hero. Genuine parts are in Vienna, Austria.
We continue to Durres - the ancient Greek port city Roman (Durazzo) - and now one of the largest ports in the Adriatic Sea. Accommodation at "Adriatik hotel, Dinner at the "Vertigo” restaurant.

DAY 03 :Durres – Berat

We started the tour (8:30 a.m.) with a visit to Durres - one of the oldest cities in Albania with a history of over 2500 years. The legend says was founded by Epidamnos, the Illyrian King of the area and carrying his name, while the port was called Durrah according to his grandson. The visit includes the Byzantine city walls, the Venetian Tower, the Roman amphitheater and the Archaeological Museum.

After the visit in Durres (11.30), we proceed to the city of Berat (driving time: about 2 hours). Lunch at 13:15 in Mangalemi Restaurant If not available "Mangalemi," accommodation to Grand White City Hotel located in Berat - depends on the (high / low) tourist season in Berat.

During the afternoon (16.00) the tour of the marvelous town of Berat, also known as the "City of a Thousand Windows" is made (one of its neighborhoods, Mangalem, has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO). Visit the Tekke (dervish mosque) of Helvetis with its beautiful portico. We continue with a visit to the neighborhood of Mangalemi; then continue the visit to the Museum of Icons "Onufri" which contains some of the most beautiful examples of his work as well as works by other Albanian outstanding artists of the past.

Dinner at the restaurant of the fortress where we tried tasted typical food and wines from the wineries.

DAY 04 :Berat / Korce

After breakfast (08.00 am), we left the city of Korca (4 hours driving time). A short stop 30 minutes in the city of Elbasan for coffee in "Real Scampis. Lunch (13:00) is in the tourist town of Drilon ( near Pogradec ). Arrival in Korca to 1615 - transfer and accommodation in 15 minutes at the Grand Hotel Palace In the afternoon, visits to the Museum of Medieval Art at 18.00 PM (full of paintings and icons made by famous artists in the country of Byzantine and post- Byzantine period ), to Ilias Beg Mosque Mirajori (late 15 sig .), The Old Bazaar (the visit to the local brewery ' Birra Korça ' known for its long tradition in the production of beer, will be optional).

Village of Boboshtica

. Dinner at a typical restaurant in the village of Boboshtica - near Korca city. This village is famous for home-cooked meals and plum brandy and blackberries.

DAY 05 :Korca (Albania) / Kastoria – Vergina – Veria

After breakfast at 7:30 a.m. we head towards the border crossing Kapshtica (Capštitsa) -time driver : one hour and 10 minutes- to enter Greek territory and 09.30 heading us towards the archaeological site of Vergina.
Around noon we started with the visit to the site and the Museum of the Necropolis. Vergina, an important archaeological site , declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1996. Located about 10 km from the city of Veria and 80 km from the port city of Thessaloniki, it is a rare treasure of the 4th century. J., the King Philip II of Macedon, father of Alexander the Great, and another young prince The Great Tumulus of Vergina also contains remains and artifacts belonging to mixed citizens of ancient Macedonia. Veria

Lunch around 14.00 in a typical Greek restaurant in the area, named "Roxani" specializing in home cooking and fresh produce. Around 16.00 hours we went to the nearby town of Veria to stay at the Hotel 4 * Aiges Melathron As I recall, the city of Thessaloniki is about 68- 73 km from Veria.
Around 18.00 we leave Veria
and visit the Byzantine Museum of Veria , C / Thomaidos, 26 [ ticket € 4 ] Δευτέρα κλειστό ; ( The visit to the Church of the Resurrection (Anastasis ) , whose construction dates back to 1315, will be optional ) Dinner at the hotel "Aiges Melathron" about 20:00.

DAY 06 : Veria - Kalambaka/Tríkala (Grecia)

After breakfast (08:00), get towards Meteors ( Μετέωρα , Greek: trad to the Castilian : suspended in the air near the towns of Kalambaka and Kastraki) Kalambaka Arrival expected at about 10.15 hours. We started visiting monasteries. Depending on the composition of the group (age, preferences, etc) it is advisable to consult the following website to make the final choice :
Meteors represents a set of the Greek Orthodox rite monasteries built on the tops of rocky masses eroded by wind and rain. The height of these rocks varies from 400 to over 600 meters and monks have lived there for 500 years. As a rule, the visit to different monasteries is optional.
Travel, accommodation and lunch at the Hotel ( located about 620 meters from the center of town) . "Divani Meteora " In the afternoon , walk through the town of Kalambaka and visit the Museum of Natural History Museum of Meteora & mushrooms Dinner at the restaurant "Meteora",C / Ikonomou 4 -Plaza Kalambaka City Hall.

DAY 07 :Meteoras-Kalambaka / Gjirokastra (República de Albania)

After breakfast (07:30) leave Kalambaka and headed towards the Albanian border. Meteors driving time - Kakavia (border crossing) about 3 hours 40 minutes. It is expected pause in the Greek city of Ioannina for a coffee / drink (about 30 minutes). About 12.30 we left the Albanian border post. By one o'clock we reached Gjirokastra where we had lunch in the "Kuka” C / restaurant At 14:30 we visit the Ethnographic Museum and the House-Museum of renowned Albanian writer Ismail Kadare.

Gjirokastra leave at 1545 and headed to the place known as "Blue Eye" a unique source of turquoise waters formed by underground streams.

Lekursi Castle

By 1730 , we stopped next to Castle Lekursi (and a glass of wine - about 30 minutes) from where you can enjoy the view of the bay of Saranda and part of the island of Corfu (optional, depending on the time that we have ) . Arrival in Saranda .Billing and accommodation in the " Butrinti " hotel around 18.30.

DAY 08 : Saranda (Los 40 Santos) / Butrinti - Tirana

After breakfast (time 08:15 ) , the morning will include an excursion to the archaeological site of Butrint - - declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The old center is located approximately fifteen kilometers south of Saranda , near the Greek island of Corfu. During the stay of 2 hours, we visit the ruins of the Acropolis , the Temple of Asclepius , the Baptistery, Nymphaeum , Greek Theatre, Lion's Gate, the Basilica Paleocristiana.

After the visit we Saranda and drive down the road from the Ionian coast , known as the Albanian Bank. We arrived around 14.00 hours to the town of Himara and had lunch at the restaurant "Hotel Rapos Resort " At 15.30 we Himara and 1700 are in the Pass Llogora from where you can / n glimpse and take photos of the fantastic scenery and pine forests.
then we continue to Vlora and stop in Tirana , the capital. We dined on 20.45 in the 4 Star / or / 4 Star superior (the schedule is due to the slightly reduced speed on the stretch of road Saranda - Vlora ) . The 4 Star is: Hotel Tirana.

DAY 9 : Airport

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to catch the flight back home. Good trip!
